Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if you see my child away from home?
How do I know what you are doing?

Jessica, our lead Therapist, will personally record videos with your child (no faces are included) to show therapy content, progress, and tips or directions given during the session. You will then be provided with a review of the session and videos with explanations via text. If you or Jessica feel it's needed, a free phone call follow up can be scheduled. Also, for an additional fee, Jessica can go to your home and provide a family education/inclusion session on a Saturday or Sunday.

When will I see progress?

Every child is different and develops within their own timeline. Some children take longer than others and some catch on rather quickly. Patience is key. Progress will happen, as long as you are consistent with carryover and remain patient.

How can I help my child make progress?

Your child only sees Jessica 1-2x a week, so most therapy progress is a result of the work you put in. She will do her job by providing therapy and giving you tips/homework to carryover at home and you need to do your job of carrying over and executing the homework, even if the child refuses. This is particularly important with feeding therapy. Therapy is difficult for a child who is used to getting what they want by not speaking at all, and a child easily becomes frustrated when there are new communication expectations.

What is a free consultation?

You can schedule a free phone meeting with Jessica to discuss your child. During the call, Jessica will provide her opinion and together you can decide on a treatment plan. If you prefer, depending on distance, you can schedule an in home consult.

How much do your services cost?

Jessica will provide you with the cost of services during the free phone consultation, based on the proposed treatment plan.
